What song gives you the most holiday cheer?
Submitted by Roxy.
"God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" is my favorite traditional Christmas carol because it's got a peppy tempo and a mix of comforting and slightly scary lyrics. I also heard a gospel version of "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" recently which put me into the holiday mood instantly.
"Santa Claus is Coming to Town" by Bruce Springsteen because it's Bruce and he's loose and having fun with it.
And, I must confess, that "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey has replaced "Santa Baby" as my holiday guilty pleasure, secretly sing along to in the car, always puts a smile on my face even though it really has nothing to do with Christmas, song.
What's your dream career?

Something like this blog :-) I often jokingly say that my dream is to be paid to watch television. A shallow dream perhaps but one of mine. ;-) I was talking TV and pop culture at a party recently and a very nice woman (and my new favorite person) asked me quite seriously if I did that (muse about pop culture and TV) for a living. That spurred me on to take some steps to perhaps to figuring out a way to make that happen. So I started this blog so I could play with Vox, develop some more writing discipline by writing daily and to work out how approach writing about TV and pop culture. I'm hoping to find a style I like and then establish a more formal space.
As an aside, so far I'm finding that I really like the simplicity of Vox and the ability to easily add images very much. I think it would be a great tool to update family members using the privacy settings if I could get them on board.
I actually don't know what my "dream career" would be as there are so many things I enjoy doing and find interesting such as learning, connecting people with information, resources and other people so they can make mutually beneficial connections, and, as previously mentioned, watching TV and observing pop culture. Oh, and my other dream... to have a Chihuahua ranch.
