I Feel Good, I Knew That I Would - So Good, So Good...
I'm feeling good about myself since this week I've been called a "badass chick" and nominated to front an all-girl punk rock garage band. Therefore I will willingly share embarrassing photographic evidence of my new workout routine. Ice Chamber and trainer Jessica rock!

Nice form on that plank. We do a lot of plank work in my pilates class, but we don't have any of the bosu balls. It's tough enough without them. It felt like my shoulder was going to fly out of its socket on some side planks this morning.

That was the second time I pushed back up into a plank since I couldn't hold it long enough for the trainer to snap a picture the first time. It doesn't look that hard but it's incredible that I'm working up to 30 seconds. My trainer is also threatening to make me do it with a Swiss ball when they get them!
I spent five minutes trying to write out what a side plank is, but I failed. Here's a picture.
And yes, I do love Pilates. I've only been doing it since the beginning of November, but I'm having a great time with it and I'm already seeing results.
Side plank with Bosu: lie on side on floor. put feet on bosu. elbow under shoulder, forearm perpendicular to body, lift your body parallel to feet. Hold. Start with 15 seconds. I'd rather do side plank than crunches any day.
