Back To The (Shoe) Future
When my sister played around with trying on my 4 inch heels the other night, she reminded me that I had been wearing heels for years. I had pretty much stopped for a while but am back again. I saw Susan Sarandon this morning wearing a blast from the past with some straight from the 70's sandals. That led me to look around at some of my favorites and I saw these...
I am pretty sure I had them in white to go with a Gunny Sax dress. I wore them to a dance in Jr. High. I could dance my way down to the floor and back up. I was the stuff - a legend in my own mind - even if the boys were still too shy to dance with girls and I was rockin' and body wavin' all by my lonesome out on the dance floor.
Good times. :)
I love that these shoes came back - they should re-issue some original styles again. I'd bet they'd sell like hotcakes these days.

Those are such cute shoes. And I cannot believe that people keep clothing, shoes, etc. that long. guess there is a problem with my "if I haven't worn it in the last 12 months it's outta here" philosophy.
But just to clarify - the ones pictured above are re-issued reproductions of the originals - they (physically) did not survive 30 years that well (though the style sure did!) :D
